How the Corn Syrup Makers Are Trying to FOOL You with a Name Change

Don't be taken in by a name changeHave you heard about the health risks from eating foods with High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS)? Of course, you have. According to the NPD Group, a research company, 58 percent of Americans say they are concerned that high-fructose corn syrup poses a health risk.
 
After all, high fructose corn syrup is now considered the new “trans fat” of 2011!
 
Well, not only are the majority of Americans concerned about it, so are the HFCS manufacturers. So what did these manufacturers do about this? Maybe try to find a more healthy product?
 
No!
 
Instead, they decided to hide behind a name change. They merely changed the name from “high fructose corn syrup” to “corn sugar”. This name change has already been submitted to the FDA.
 
They are hoping that with a name change they will FOOL you. They are hoping you aren’t smart enough to know that this is the same old “high fructose corn syrup.” They are hoping you are dumb enough to think that “corn sugar” is some sort of healthier alternative.
 
It’s not – it’s the same old HFCS hiding behind a new name.
 
So how can we avoid being taken in by corn syrup makers who want to fool you? The best way is to know what sugars are right and wrong for your Metabolic Type. Knowing your Metabolic Type is your best defense when these out-for-a-buck manufacturers try to hoodwink you.
